Discover Bucovina
Getaways in Bucovina, starting from Artcetera Lodge
From Stulpicani, Bucovina opens up in every direction. We have gathered a few of the trips we make ourselves, with the stops worth making, rough travel times and the things worth knowing before you set off.
Day trips from Artcetera, for days when you want to see more of Bucovina without spending the whole day in the car.
A weekend, at an easy pace
Friday
On Friday you arrive and leave the city behind. If you let us know in advance, we get the hot tub ready for the evening. Dinner is up to you: cook in the Artcetera kitchen, put something on the barbecue or, if you would like to try real home cooking, we can arrange a meal prepared by a local, at extra cost and confirmed in advance.
Saturday
Saturday is for hitting the road. Drive up the Transrarău to Pietrele Doamnei, or set off in the morning for Voroneț and Humor. You come back to Artcetera Lodge towards evening, perhaps for a long shower, a glass of wine and a few hours in the hot tub.
Sunday
On Sunday you can stay close to home, for a coffee and a short walk. For Slătioara, plan an early start or go on Saturday instead. Check-out is by 12:00; a later departure is confirmed separately.
Our guides
Four trips we make ourselves, with or without our guests. They all start from the cabin gate.

Bucovina, with the people of the village
If you want more than the trips in our guides, we can put you in touch with people from the village: a meal cooked by a local, lunch at a sheepfold, a ride in a horse-drawn cart or sleigh, a guided walk through the Slătioara old-growth forest, or a day picking wild berries, with a picnic. All are optional and paid for separately.
