The Artcetera Lodge living room, with the fireplace hidden in the rock, the staircase and the long table for the whole group

The house

The rooms and spaces of the house

Artcetera Lodge is a cabin in Bucovina with an open-air hydromassage hot tub, designed around areas rather than rooms. Every corner has its purpose, from the back terrace, where evenings stretch late into the night, to the hammock from which you watch the stars. And the whole house is yours alone.

Three bedrooms, 6 adults

All 3 bedrooms have double beds, and the sofa beds can be used by older children. In the ground-floor living room there is one more sofa bed for two. For babies, we don’t have a cot available at the moment.

Odaia stâncii: the double bed in front of the stone wall

Odaia stâncii

A whole wall of rock rises behind the bed and turns the room into a warm, secret cave where sleep comes easily – hence its name, the Rock Room. It is the ground-floor bedroom and the most secluded of all, with a 180 × 200 double bed, a sofa bed for children and the work desk, for anyone coming to work from the mountains for a few days.

Cuibul: the attic room with wooden beams, a double bed and yellow cushions

Cuibul

The smallest and cosiest of the rooms, under the wooden beams of the attic – Cuibul means the Nest. The yellow of the cushions and the rocking chair and side table painted with sunflowers bring sunshine even on cloudy days. A 180 × 200 double bed, for two people who want to nestle in.

Izvorul luminii: the double bed under the beams, with the white bathtub beside the rock

Izvorul luminii

Izvorul luminii, the Spring of Light, is a romantic room where nature doesn’t stay on the other side of the window. Daylight and the texture of the rock meet in a warm, intimate space. The balcony opening onto meadows and forest, and the bathtub set against the rock, give the room a character all of its own, perfect for two. A 180 × 200 double bed and a sofa bed for children.

Area by area

Each area has its own icon and the playful name we gave it.

Two glasses on the wooden rim of the hot tub, at sunset

Jacuzzi zone, under the open sky

A round hydromassage hot tub, clad in wood like a traditional Romanian ciubăr and set in the yard, with the meadow and the forest all around. The water stays warm even in January, when everything around it is white, and in the evening, with a glass resting on the wooden rim, the sunset looks wonderful from here. We get it ready for you at the time you choose, and it is included in the price.

The terrace at the back of the house, with wooden posts, the long bench and the forest in the distance

Offline zone: the back terrace

The place where evenings stretch out on their own, with stories, a blanket around your shoulders and the forest a stone’s throw away. Phones usually end up forgotten somewhere in the house.

The meadow behind the house at sunset, with the wooden fence, the valley and the fir forests

Towards the forest: the paths around the house

The forest is close, and the paths start right around the house. Your morning coffee can come with a walk through the greenery, and for a longer exploration, the Slătioara old-growth forest is about 15 minutes away by car.

The upstairs landing with a beanbag, a bookcase and a record player, under the roof window

Chill zone: the upstairs landing

Under the old beams and the roof window, a soft, comfortable beanbag is waiting. There are books, games, a record player and records for afternoons when the rain taps on the window, and for the quiet hour between the hot tub and dinner.

The round barbecue in the gazebo, with a bottle of wine and the house behind

Creativity corner: the gazebo

Paved, with a table, chairs and a round barbecue with a live fire in the middle. In the morning it becomes an office with a view; in the evening it turns into the group’s summer dining room. We are putting a roof over it this autumn, so it will shelter you from the rain too.

The walnut tree in the orchard in autumn, with the meadow and the hills behind

Leave-me-alone zone: under the walnut tree, in the orchard

A chair, the shade of the walnut tree and nobody around. For the book you started at home and left on your bedside table months ago.

The sauna, still being fitted out: the wooden bench, the wood-burning stove and the large window onto the meadow

Hodină area: the sauna

A sauna with a wood-burning stove, designed especially for Artcetera Lodge – hodină is the old Bucovina word for rest. It is still being fitted out; we will announce here and on Instagram when it is ready to welcome you. Access will be included in the price of your stay, just like the hot tub.

The yard at night, with the lights on and the sky above the village

Stargazing spot: the hammock

When the lights of the house go out, the sky above the village fills with stars. The hammock is the best place to watch them from, unhurried, with nothing else to do.

Good to know before you come

Artcetera Lodge has no restaurant, and meals are not included in the price of your stay. You do, however, have a fully equipped kitchen, the barbecue in the gazebo and, about 5 minutes away, the Popasul Caprei restaurant.

We can bring breakfast in the morning, made from local produce, at 30 lei per adult and 20 lei per child over 8, free for children up to 8. It is ordered the day before, for the whole group, and delivered between 07:00 and 10:00, at the time you choose.

There is no swimming pool, but you have the hydromassage hot tub. The house has no access ramp and we don’t have a cot for babies. The attic rooms are reached by an indoor staircase, and there are a few steps from the entrance up to the ground floor.

We prefer to tell you all this in advance, so that you know exactly what Artcetera Lodge is like and can decide whether it suits you.

Artcetera experiences

If you would like more than the house, we can put you in touch with people from the village: a meal cooked by a local, lunch at a sheepfold, a ride in a horse-drawn cart or sleigh, a guided walk through the Slătioara old-growth forest, or a day picking wild berries or mushrooms, with a picnic. All are optional and paid for separately.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can the house sleep?

6 adults and up to 2 children, in 3 bedrooms with 180 × 200 double beds. Older children can sleep on the sofa beds in Odaia stâncii and Izvorul luminii, and there is a two-seater sofa bed in the living room. We don’t have a cot for babies.

Can the hot tub (a wood-clad hydromassage tub, like a ciubăr) be used in winter?

Yes, it is included and we get it ready when you let us know in advance. The sauna is still being fitted out and is not available yet.

Can we bring our pet?

Yes, we welcome one small or medium-sized pet per bedroom, at no extra charge. Please let us know beforehand, and keep an eye on your pet during your stay. Pets are not allowed in the hot tub or the sauna, or on the furniture unless you use your own cover. We provide bowls for water and food.

Is the internet good enough for work?

Yes. In a test carried out in September 2026, we measured 426 Mbps download, 439 Mbps upload and a 15 ms ping. Speeds may vary depending on the device, the area of the house and the number of users. There are sockets in every area of the house, so you can set up your laptop wherever you like.

What do we do when it rains?

Light the fire, pick a book from the bookcase, put a record on or cook something good together. The hot tub works in the rain too, and the sauna, once it is ready, even more so.

“What I liked most was the themed interior design blended with a contemporary style. The cleanliness, comfort and facilities are impeccable.”
