When you arrive, quiet is the first thing to greet you, and the house, with everything lovely in it, is yours alone. No sharing a hallway with strangers: mornings can start slowly, with coffee by the big kitchen window, the forest in front of you and the children still in their pyjamas.

More than a place to stay: a few days that feel different
A cabin with an outdoor hot tub, included in the price
In the evening, when the air turns cool, the warm water of the outdoor hot tub is waiting for you, its steam rising slowly towards the stars. The hot tub, a round hydromassage tub clad in wood like a traditional Romanian ciubăr, is included in the price and can be used in winter too. Just let us know in advance when you would like it ready.
A generous table and a fully equipped kitchen
Good evenings stretch out on their own around a big table, with good food and the people you love. You have a fully equipped kitchen, a table for the whole group and a barbecue in the yard. If you would rather someone else did the cooking, we can arrange a meal prepared by a local, at extra cost.
The forest begins where the garden ends
Forest stretches as far as the eye can see around the house, with paths to wander in the quiet of the morning. For a whole day among trees hundreds of years old, the Slătioara old-growth forest is very close. And if you would simply rather look, the hammock is waiting.
Three bedrooms, one house
Each bedroom has its own story and a roomy bed. For older children there are sofa beds in Odaia stâncii and in Izvorul luminii.
A whole wall of rock watches over the bed and turns the room into a warm, secret cave – hence its name, the Rock Room. It is the most secluded bedroom, on the ground floor, made for deep sleep and quiet work.

The smallest and cosiest of the rooms, tucked under the attic beams – Cuibul means the Nest. The sunflower painted on the rocking chair brings sunshine even on cloudy days.

Izvorul luminii, the Spring of Light, is a room where daylight and the texture of the rock meet in a warm, intimate space. The balcony opening onto meadows and forest, and the bathtub set against the rock, give it a character all of its own, perfect for two.

How much does it cost to rent the whole house?
You pay for the house, not by the room, and the price covers everything that makes your stay easy: the hydromassage hot tub, firewood, bed linen, towels, internet and parking. With 6 adults, a weekend works out at 250 lei per person per night. We reply within one day.
Sunday to Thursday: work with the forest outside your window
From 900 lei a night for two, even for a single night. Fast internet, a quiet desk in Odaia stâncii and, after the last call of the day, a lovely evening on the terrace, far from the traffic.

Artcetera Lodge is in Stulpicani, in the Suha valley, in the heart of Bucovina. The painted monasteries and the mountains are close by, and in the evening you come back to a silence in which all you can hear is the forest.

Our story
Our grandparents’ house, rebuilt with art
Artcetera Lodge grew out of my father’s family home, once full of children. The old timber of the house has been left exposed between the living room and the kitchen, next to the rock and the paintings by Ionuț. It is the Bucovina of old, seen through today’s eyes.
Social enterprise
What stays in the village
Artcetera Lodge is a social enterprise. Under the commitment made through the RISE UP project, 90% of the profit goes to the social goals of the enterprise. The house is looked after by people from Stulpicani, and we work with people from the community for local produce and home-cooked meals.

Founding Guest for the first 10 bookings
The first 10 direct bookings of at least 2 nights receive Founding Guest status. The person who makes the booking gets a permanent 15% discount on future direct bookings, a Welcome Box on every return visit and early access to offers for high-demand periods, 48 hours before they are announced publicly. Frequently asked questions
How many people can stay?
Artcetera Lodge sleeps 6 adults and up to 2 children in comfort. The 3 bedrooms have double beds, and little ones can sleep on the 2 sofa beds if they are not sharing their parents’ bed.
Can we rent just one room?
No. The house is only rented as a whole, to a single group, so that it is entirely yours.
Is the hot tub (a wood-clad hydromassage tub, like a ciubăr) included, and does it work in winter?
Yes, the hot tub is included in the price and we get it ready in winter too. Just let us know in advance when you would like to use it. It reaches 40°C even in winter.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, if it is small or medium-sized and you let us know beforehand. There is no extra charge.
How do we book?
Send your request through the website and we will reply within 24 hours. Once we confirm, you pay a 50% deposit and the rest on arrival. Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 12:00.
When did you last have a house all to yourselves?
Perhaps you will come for the open-air hot tub, perhaps for the forest, perhaps for that meal cooked and shared together. Send us your dates and the number of guests, and we will reply within 24 hours with availability and the cost of your stay. Sending a request does not commit you to any payment.
